Mill Creek Trash & Recycling Service

Kane County's Recycling Program coordinates the waste/recycling/yard waste hauling contract for the Mill Creek Special Service Area.

As of November 2021, the company contracted by the County is LRS, Inc. (formerly Lakeshore Recycling). The contract will run at least through 2026. See more information about the services provided on the LRS Mill C​reek webpage​.

Pricing: ​All costs will increase by 2.5% each year during the initial five years of the contract. The price increase will occur on November 1st of each year. The pricing for Year 4 (starting November 1, 2024) will be as follows:

Sticker price: $2.96 each (a recycling tote is provided; all other materials require stickers)

Two tote program​​ (trash and recycling totes; yard waste requires stickers​): $18.04 per month

Three totes (​trash, recycling and yard waste/organics totes; only extra bulk items or other additional waste requires stickers): $21.03​/month​

Introducing Recycle Coach for Mill Creek!

​Kane County's Recycling Program, along with Illinois EPA, is excited to bring Recycle Coach to Mill Creek. Mill Creek residents can use the web widget below to check on their pick-up schedule and find the closest drop-off locations for various reusable and recyclable items. We strongly recommend that mobile device users download the Recycle Coach app using the links on the widget below - when completing set up in the app, please enter location as "Mill Creek, IL" not "Geneva."

  • Note on Mill Creek address formatting for ​Recycle Coach: you must type your house number exactly as it appears in our database to get your waste schedule. There are either 1 or 2 digits before the letter, depending on the address, and there are always 3 digits after the letter. 
    • ​The following are valid street numbers: 1S083, 0N079, 39W007
    • The following are NOT valid street numbers: 1S83, 00N079, 0N79, 01S083, 39W07​
